What is Kriya Yoga?
Kriya Yoga follows the path laid out by Rishi Patanjali in his ‘Yoga Sutras’ 2400 years ago.
Kriya Yoga belongs to the inner level of yoga ‘meditation’. It utilises the fine connection between Prana (subtle breath) and Chit (universal consciousness).
Samadhi (pure consciousness) is obtained in the meditation by awakening the pranic body (human energy system). The awakening occurs in the meditation by cultivating the breath and the 7 Chakras.
Kriya Yoga was made famous in the west by Paramahamsa Yogananda. He wrote the book “Autobiography of a Yogi”, which became a ‘most read’ for all who are interested in yoga.
