Ajan Thanat Chindaporn is a disciple of and assistant to Ven. Ajahn Tong Sirimangalo and senior teacher of vipassana meditation. Thanat established and manages the meditation centre for foreigners (non Thai ) at Wat Chomtong temple in northern Thailand where he teaches and trains students and teachers.
In 2004, Thanat received Thailand’s Benefactor of Buddhism Award for his dissemination of Buddhism worldwide.
Ajan Thanat passed away on the 31st of March 2022 at the age of 80 years old.
